Regular Season Round 13: FiberXers - NLEX RW 108-84
Date: November 5, 2022
There was no surprise in Makati where 8th ranked NLEX RW (3-4) was crushed by third ranked FiberXers (6-2) 108-84 on Saturday. FiberXers outrebounded NLEX RW 59-42 including a 46-32 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Aljun Melecio stepped up and scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-1992, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Brandon Rosser (201-1994, college: UC Riverside) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four NLEX RW players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FiberXers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Bay Area D. NLEX RW at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with SM Beermen. FiberXers will meet Phoenix (#5) in the next round. NLEX RW will play against North Port and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
