Regular Season Round 9: Jilin NE T. - Beijing D. 83-88

There was a minor upset in Changchun where 7th ranked Jilin Tigers (5-4) were defeated by tenth ranked Ducks (5-4) 88-83 on Saturday. Ducks dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Jilin Tigers' 36. They outrebounded Jilin Tigers 55-36 including a 40-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ducks looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Nick Johnson (191-1992, college: Arizona) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international center Ziming Fan (211-1998) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Ducks' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Dominique Jones (193-1988, college: S.Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals and Yuxing Jiang (193-1995) added 15 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ducks moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Jilin Tigers.
