Very predictable result when first ranked Chiba Jets (5-2) rolled over at home 8th ranked Shiga L-Stars (2-5) 103-59 on Saturday. They outrebounded Shiga L-Stars 46-20 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Chiba Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) accounted for 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. American forward Kelvin Martin (196-1989, college: Charleston So.) came up with 12 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Kai Toews (188-1998, college: UNCW) added 16 points respectively for Shiga L-Stars in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets maintains first place with 5-2 record, which they share with 4 other teams. Shiga L-Stars lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost.
