Regular Season Round 6: FE Nagoya - Kawasaki BT 65-93
Date: October 16, 2022
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when second ranked Kawasaki BT (4-2) outleveled on the road top-ranked FE Nagoya (5-1) 93-65 on Sunday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Kawasaki BT shot 61.7 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Kawasaki BT especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-1991) chipped in 26 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Andrew Randall (198-1990, college: Temple) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kawasaki BT keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted FE Nagoya still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Ryukyu GK and Shimane SM. Kawasaki BT will meet at home Sea Horses M. (#5) in the next round. FE Nagoya will play against Hiroshima D. (#4) and hope to secure a win.
