There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Osaka E. (2-3) beat at home 4th placed Shinshu BW (2-3) 63-57 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Rei Goda (181-1993) chipped in 3 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Ko Kumagai (173-1996) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) added 4 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Shinshu BW's coach Michael Katsuhisa tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Osaka E. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Shinshu BW. Shinshu BW lost third consecutive game. Osaka E. will again meet at home Shinshu BW (#5) in the next round. Shinshu BW will have a break next round.
