Regular Season Round 4: Tachikawa - Iwate 63-84
Date: October 15, 2022
Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Tachikawa (1-4) was outplayed at home by third ranked Iwate (4-1) 84-63 on Saturday. Iwate looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds and Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-1996, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Iwate players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Tristin Walley (201-1996, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Ryusei Abe (181-1995) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 4-1 record behind leader Kagoshima, which they share with 3 other teams. Tachikawa lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Iwate will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tachikawa will play again against Iwate (#3) and hope to win that game.
