Regular Season Round 4: Shimane SM - Yokohama BC 89-75

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Yokohama BC (0-4) lost on the road to top-ranked Shimane SM (4-0) 89-75 on Sunday. Shimane SM made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Shimane SM outrebounded Yokohama BC 42-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import forward Reid Travis (203-1995, college: Kentucky, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points and 11 assists by the former international guard Yuki Kawamura (169-2001) did not help to save the game for Yokohama BC. Czech Patrik Auda (204-1989, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) added 18 points for lost side. Five Shimane SM and four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shimane SM have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with FE Nagoya. Yokohama BC at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Niigata A. and Hokkaido L.. Shimane SM will meet at home league's leader Akita NH in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yokohama BC will play against Nagoya DD (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
