Regular Season Round 1: Chiba Jets - Osaka E. 77-67

Chiba Jets used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Osaka 89-88 on Saturday night. Chiba Jets made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn St.) came up with 23 points and 5 assists and power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Osaka E. in the defeat. Five Chiba Jets and four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Chiba Jets will again meet at home Osaka E. in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Osaka E. will have a break next round.
