Regular Season Round 1: Koshigaya A. - Nishinomiya S. 62-72

But Koshigaya A. was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Hyogo 72-62 on Saturday night. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Koshigaya A.'s 30. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-1990, college: Miami, FL) nailed 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Yusuke Tsunai (184-1996) accounted for 10 points and 5 assists. American power forward Brekkott Chapman (206-1996, college: Weber St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Koshigaya A. in the defeat. Koshigaya A.'s coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nishinomiya S. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Koshigaya A. will play again against Nishinomiya S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
