Regular Season Round 1: Hokkaido L. - Akita NH 90-95
Date: October 1, 2022
An interesting game was also a 23-point tough home loss of Hokkaido L. in a game in Saporro versus undefeated Akita NH 97-74. Akita NH had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Akita NH looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Turkish Kerem Kanter (207-1995, college: Xavier) nailed 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American Stanton Kidd (202-1992, college: Colorado St.) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Shawn Long (208-1993, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Pensack Sports) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Hokkaido L. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Akita NH will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hokkaido L. will play again against Akita NH and hope to win that game.
