Hornets (5-1) recorded its first loss in Singapore on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Siglap (4-2) 56-54. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hornets. The best player for the winners was Chiang Goh-Kok who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Yuan Lim Jun chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Malaysian Russell Low-Wen who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and Kelvin Lim-Hong added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Hornets at the other side keep the second position with one game lost. They share it with Xin Hua. Siglap's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Singapore SAF.
