Regular Season Round 9: Dolphins - Dragons 76-41
Date: August 7, 2022
Very expected game in Nha Trang where 6th ranked Dragons (4-8) were crushed by second ranked Dolphins (6-5) 76-41 on Sunday. Dolphins outrebounded Dragons 62-37 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard CJ Jackson (185-1996, college: Ohio St., agency: Blacktop Management) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import center Dominique Tham (195-1996, college: Mount Olive) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was center Kien Pham Duc (197-1998) who recorded 8 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Dominique Grant (183-1989, college: Bellevue) added 5 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Dolphins went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Dragons keep the sixth place with eight games lost. Dolphins will meet at home bottom-ranked Catfish (#7) in the next round. Dragons will have a break next round.
