Regular Season Round 2: Heat - Dolphins 77-80

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Heat in Saigon on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Dolphins 80-77. Dolphins outrebounded Heat 58-45 including 19 on the offensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Flenard Whitfield (201-1990, college: W.Michigan) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Dominique Tham (195-1996, college: Mount Olive) chipped in 21 points and 19 rebounds during the contest. Forward Alonzo Stafford (198-1993, college: CCC) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds and guard Madarious Gibbs (185-1993, college: Texas Southern) scored 20 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dolphins are looking forward to face Wings in Ho Chi Minh in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Heat will play on the road against Dragons in Danang and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
