Regular Season Round 21: Pilots - Fubon Braves 97-98

Sixth-ranked Pilots (7-20) made lots of trouble for second ranked Fubon Braves (17-11) in Taoyuan on Saturday. Fubon Braves managed to secure only one-point victory 98-97. However their fans expected much easier game. Fubon Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-1982) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Fubon Braves' coach Chin-Tse Hsu used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jordan Tolbert (200-1992, college: SMU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Devin Robinson (203-1995, college: Florida) added 24 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Fubon Braves and four Pilots players scored in double figures. Fubon Braves maintains second place with 17-11 record having just three points less than leader Lioneers. Pilots lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost.
