Top ranked Ryukyu GK (47-7) recorded its seventh loss in Okinawa on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Hiroshima D. (29-27) 86-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ryukyu GK. They outrebounded Ryukyu GK 44-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Hiroshima D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Hiroshima D.'s coach Kyle Milling felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import power forward Gary Hamilton (208-1984, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
