Regular Season Round 61: Shiga L-Stars - Shinshu BW 65-81

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Shiga L-Stars (14-40) were defeated at home by sixth ranked Shinshu BW (26-26) 81-65 on Saturday. Shinshu BW made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) fired 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-1986, college: Temple) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Guard Kiefer Isaac Ravena (181-1993) produced 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) added 13 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Shinshu BW. They maintain sixth place with 26-26 record. Shiga L-Stars lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 40 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shiga L-Stars will play again against Shinshu BW (#6) and hope to secure a win.
