Regular Season Round 61: Ryukyu GK - Hiroshima D. 81-77

No shocking result in a game in Okinawa where first ranked Ryukyu GK (47-6) won against 5th ranked Hiroshima D. (28-27) 81-77 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Power forward Gary Hamilton (208-1984, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 6 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Nick Mayo (206-1997, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Hiroshima D. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ryukyu GK maintains first place with 47-6 record. Loser Hiroshima D. keeps the fifth position with 27 games lost. Ryukyu GK will again meet at home Hiroshima D. (#5) in the next round. Hiroshima D. will have a break next round.
