Regular Season Round 57: Tokyo HT - Kagoshima 95-103

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Kagoshima (35-12) beat on the road 9th ranked Tokyo HT (23-18) 103-95. Kagoshima dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo HT's 46. American swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-1993, college: LCU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds for the winners and Senegalese center Diop Cheikh (210-1997) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Kagoshima players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Chris Washburn (203-1993, college: TCU) with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and the other American import power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kagoshima maintains fourth place with 35-12 record. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the ninth position with 18 games lost.
