Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Osaka E. (20-34) was outscored on the road by fifth ranked Hiroshima D. (28-26) 90-59 on Sunday. Hiroshima D. outrebounded Osaka E. 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the former international point guard Ryo Terashima (179-1997) supported him with 13 points and 8 assists. Four Hiroshima D. players scored in double figures. Hiroshima D.'s coach Kyle Milling felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 14 points by American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-1989, college: USAO, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Osaka E.. Point guard Hiromu Nakamura (176-1997) added 9 points and 7 assists. Hiroshima D. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 28-26 record. Osaka E. lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 34 games lost. Hiroshima D. will meet league's leader Ryukyu GK in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Osaka E. will play against Nagoya DD (#3) and hope to secure a win.
