Regular Season Round 60: Akita NH - Kyoto H. 71-63

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Akita NH (29-23) beat at home 10th ranked Kyoto H. (13-43) 71-63 on Sunday. Strangely Kyoto H. outrebounded Akita NH 42-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated also this game. The winners were led by forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) supported him with 11 points and 6 assists. Four Akita NH players scored in double figures. Akita NH's coach Kenzo Maeda used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds by center David Simon (208-1982, college: PFW) did not help to save the game for Kyoto H.. Forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Akita NH maintains sixth position with 29-23 record. Kyoto H. lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 43 games lost. Akita NH will meet San-en NP (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Kyoto H. will play against the league's second-placed Shimane SM and hope to secure a win.
