Regular Season Round 60: Tochigi Brex - Chiba Jets 72-69

Fourth-ranked Chiba Jets (33-9) were very close to win a game against third ranked Tochigi Brex (39-15) on Sunday. Tochigi Brex managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected easier game. 24 personal fouls committed by Chiba Jets helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American power forward Josh Scott (208-1993, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds. The former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-1990) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) replied with 23 points and the former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Chiba Jets. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tochigi Brex moved-up to second place. Defending champion Chiba Jets keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Tochigi Brex are looking forward to face Alvark Tokyo (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
