No shocking result in a game in Tokyo where fifth ranked Hitachi SRT (31-24) smashed 9th ranked Hokkaido L. (19-33) 82-60 on Saturday. Hitachi SRT looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for international point guard Leo Vendrame (183-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. American forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Shawn Long (208-1993, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Daniel Miller (211-1991, college: Georgia Tech) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi SRT maintains fifth place with 31-24 record. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the ninth position with 33 games lost. Hitachi SRT will again meet at home Hokkaido L. (#9) in the next round. Hokkaido L. will have a break next round.
