Everything went according to plan when second ranked Shimane SM (39-13) outleveled at home 9th ranked Shiga L-Stars (14-39) 102-79 on Saturday. Shimane SM made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Shimane SM outrebounded Shiga L-Stars 34-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) helped adding 13 points and 4 assists. Four Shimane SM players scored in double figures. American forward Novar Gadson (201-1989, college: Rider) responded with 30 points and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Shimane SM. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Kawasaki BT. Shiga L-Stars lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth place with 39 games lost.
