Very expected game when 10th ranked Kyoto H. (13-42) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Akita NH (28-23) 79-58 on Saturday. Akita NH looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kyoto H.'s players. It was a great evening for American forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. The former international swingman Takatoshi Furukawa (190-1987) helped adding 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Furukawa is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center David Simon (208-1982, college: PFW) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Akita NH maintains sixth place with 28-23 record. Kyoto H. lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 42 games lost. Akita NH will again meet at home Kyoto H. (#10) in the next round. Kyoto H. will have a break next round.
