Regular Season Round 59: Tochigi Brex - Chiba Jets 71-74

A very close game took place in Tochigi between Chiba Jets and Tochigi Brex. Fourth ranked Chiba Jets (33-8) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd placed Tochigi Brex (38-15). Chiba Jets managed to escape with a 3-point win 74-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Tochigi Brex. Chiba Jets made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American power forward Josh Duncan (203-1986) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. American power forward Josh Scott (208-1993, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Seiji Ikaruga (185-1994) scored 15 points and 6 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 33-8 record. Loser Tochigi Brex keeps the third position with 15 games lost. Chiba Jets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tochigi Brex will play again against Chiba Jets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
