Regular Season Round 58: Kawasaki BT - Chiba Jets 92-77

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kanagawa. Second ranked host Kawasaki BT (38-13) defeated 4th ranked Chiba Jets (32-8) 92-77. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Chiba Jets. Kawasaki BT dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Chiba Jets' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-1991) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) responded with 22 points and 7 assists and American forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five Kawasaki BT and four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kawasaki BT have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 38-13 record having just two point less than leader Ryukyu GK. Defending champion Chiba Jets keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Kawasaki BT are looking forward to face league's leader Alvark Tokyo at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chiba Jets will play against Tochigi Brex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
