Regular Season Round 57: Hitachi SRT - Alvark Tokyo 61-69

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tokyo: Alvark Tokyo (#1) and Hitachi SRT (#5). Hitachi SRT was defeated at home 61-69 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hitachi SRT. It was a good game for Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds. The former international Daiki Tanaka (191-1991) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Alvark Tokyo players scored in double figures. American forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) answered with 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kosuke Ishii (182-1987) added 17 points in the effort for Hitachi SRT. Hitachi SRT's coach Tsutomu Isa rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Alvark Tokyo maintains first place with 37-11 record. Hitachi SRT at the other side keeps the fifth position with 24 games lost. Alvark Tokyo will play against Hokkaido L. (#8) in Saporro in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hitachi SRT will play on the road against Yokohama BC and hopes to get back on the winning track.
