The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Aquas (21-7) against sixth ranked GhostHawks on Saturday night. GhostHawks were defeated by sixth ranked GhostHawks (6-22) 91-76. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Aquas. GhostHawks dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Aquas' 30. They outrebounded Aquas 64-50 including a 45-34 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Aquas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 25 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Chi-Erh Lu (176-1992) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four GhostHawks players scored in double figures. American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-1991, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) replied with 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and American Xavier Alexander (198-1988, college: S.Nazarene) added 10 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Aquas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. GhostHawks maintains sixth position with 6-22 record. Aquas at the other side still keep top place with seven games lost. GhostHawks are looking forward to face higher ranked TB Herobears (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aquas will play against TB Herobears and are hoping to win this game.
