Regular Season Round 19: Fubon Braves - Dreamers 87-124

Very important is a loss of third ranked Fubon Braves (15-10) against fourth ranked Dreamers (14-9) on Saturday night. Fubon Braves were crushed by Dreamers 124-87. They made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Dreamers shot the lights out from three nailing 21 long-distance shots on high 55.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Randall Walko (196-1998, college: TCNJ) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Julian Boyd (203-1990, college: LIU Brooklyn) helped adding 22 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Ting-En Lai (176-1996) scored 11 points and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dreamers. They maintain fourth place with 14-9 record. Fubon Braves at the other side dropped to the second position with ten games lost. They share it with Kings. Dreamers will play against bottom-ranked Steelers (#6) in Kaohsiung in the next round. Fubon Braves will play at home against Pilots (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
