Regular Season Round 24: Sagesse - Hoops 81-73

Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Beirut: Sagesse (#4) and Hoops (#7). Sagesse (15-5) won against visiting Hoops (9-11) 81-73. Sagesse made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by the former international swingman Christophe Khalil (192-1999) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and international point guard Ali Mezher (182-1994) supported him with 16 points and 11 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). Even 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by the former international Habib Abdallah did not help to save the game for Hoops. Hicham El Helou added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Hoops' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sagesse maintains fourth position with 15-5 record. Hoops lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 11 games lost.
