Regular Season Round 55: Kyoto H. - Hitachi SRT 81-82

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Hitachi SRT (28-23) edged on the road 9th ranked Kyoto H. (13-38) 82-81 on Wednesday. Hitachi SRT looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) fired 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International point guard Leo Vendrame (183-1993) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. American forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import center David Simon (208-1982, college: PFW) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Kyoto H. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hitachi SRT. They moved-up to fifth place. Kyoto H. lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 38 games lost. Hitachi SRT's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Alvark Tokyo.
