Regular Season Round 18: Fubon Braves - Steelers 109-87

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Steelers (6-19) were crushed by third ranked Fubon Braves (15-9) 109-87 on Sunday. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Steelers' 34. They outrebounded Steelers 53-37 including 43 on the defensive glass. Fubon Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-1982) scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) chipped in 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Anthony Bennett (203-1993, college: UNLV) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and American swingman Taylor Braun (201-1991, college: NDSU) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Fubon Braves moved-up to second place, which they share with Lioneers. Newly promoted Steelers stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Fubon Braves will meet Dreamers (#4) in the next round. Steelers will play against the league's leader Kings and hope to secure a win.
