Regular Season Round 53: Osaka E. - Hitachi SRT 65-66

Seventh-ranked Osaka E. (20-27) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Hitachi SRT (26-23) on Saturday. The visitors from Tokyo managed to secure only one-point victory 66-65. However their fans expected easier game. Hitachi SRT forced 20 Osaka E. turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. International point guard Leo Vendrame (183-1993) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Hitachi SRT's coach Tsutomu Isa used entire bench in such tough game. The former international forward Ira Brown (193-1982, college: Gonzaga) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-1989, college: USAO, agency: BIG) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. Hitachi SRT maintains sixth place with 26-23 record. Osaka E. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 27 games lost. Hitachi SRT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Osaka E. will play again at home against Hitachi SRT (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
