Second Stage Round 9: Nur-Sultan Tigers - Irtysh 51-55

An interesting game for Irtysh (14-9) which played road game in Nur-Sultan against 4th placed Nur-Sultan Tigers (9-14). Third ranked Irtysh managed to get a 4-point victory 55-51. Irtysh forced 22 Nur-Sultan Tigers turnovers. The former international forward Oksana Ossipenko (186-1985) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Liya Umerova (166-2002) accounted for 9 points and 6 assists. The former international forward Daria Koroleva (182-1988) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Kamazhay Otegenova (180-2001) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Nur-Sultan Tigers in the defeat. Irtysh maintains third place with 14-9 record having just two points less than leader Turan. Nur-Sultan Tigers lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 14 games lost. Irtysh will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nur-Sultan Tigers will play again against Irtysh (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
