Regular Season Round 17: Steelers - Pilots 107-102

Bottom-ranked Steelers managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time newly promoted Steelers won against fifth-ranked Pilots in Kaohsiung 107-102. Steelers looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Anthony Bennett (203-1993, college: UNLV) who had a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Keith Benson (211-1988, college: Oakland) chipped in 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Devin Robinson (203-1995, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-1997) added 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Steelers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pilots' coach Chih-Lung Cheng tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Steelers maintains sixth place with 6-17 record. Pilots lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. Steelers will meet higher ranked Fubon Braves (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pilots will have a break next round.
