We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tokyo where 6th ranked Hitachi SRT (25-23) was outplayed by seventh ranked Gunma CT (19-24) 94-75 on Sunday. Gunma CT made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Justin Keenan (202-1989, college: Ferris St.) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) produced 21 points and 5 assists and forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Gunma CT maintains seventh position with 19-24 record. Loser Hitachi SRT keeps the sixth place with 23 games lost. Gunma CT will meet league's leader Alvark Tokyo on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hitachi SRT will play against Osaka E. (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
