Regular Season Round 52: Alvark Tokyo - Yokohama BC 68-67

Eighth-ranked Yokohama BC (17-31) gave a tough game to first ranked Alvark Tokyo (34-9) on Sunday. Alvark Tokyo managed to secure only one-point victory 68-67. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Daiki Tanaka (191-1991) who added 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Alvark Tokyo players scored in double figures. At the losing side Czech Patrik Auda (204-1989, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Reginald Buckner (206-1991, college: Ole Miss) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Yokohama BC's coach Taketo Aoki rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alvark Tokyo have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 34-9 record. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the eighth place with 31 games lost. Alvark Tokyo are looking forward to face Gunma CT (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Yokohama BC will play against Ibaraki R. in Mito and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
