Regular Season Round 52: Kawasaki BT - Akita NH 86-87

Important game to mention about took place in Kanagawa. Fifth ranked Akita NH (27-17) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging much higher ranked Kawasaki BT (33-12) 87-86 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kawasaki BT. Akita NH players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by American forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) who scored that evening 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) supported him with 22 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Akita NH's coach Kenzo Maeda allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 29 points and 9 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by the former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-1991) did not help to save the game for Kawasaki BT. The former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) added 17 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. Akita NH maintains fifth position with 27-17 record. Kawasaki BT at the other side keeps the second place with 12 games lost. Akita NH will play against higher ranked Sea Horses M. (#4) in Kariya in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kawasaki BT will play on the road against Hiroshima D. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
