Regular Season Round 17: Dreamers - Lioneers 78-96

Very significant was Lioneers' (#3, 14-9) victory against 4th placed Dreamers (11-9) 96-78. Lioneers forced 19 Dreamers turnovers and outrebounded them 55-42 including a 48-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Dreamers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (179-1998) stepped up and scored 23 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-1992, college: NM State) chipped in 17 points and 18 rebounds. Canadian center Stefan Jankovic (211-1993, college: Hawaii, agency: Slash Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Julian Boyd (203-1990, college: LIU Brooklyn) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lioneers (14-9) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Fubon Braves. Dreamers at the other side keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Lioneers is looking forward to face league's leader Kings in Taipei in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dreamers will play at home against the league's leader Kings and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
