Regular Season Round 51: Kawasaki BT - Akita NH 82-68

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Kawasaki BT (33-11) beat 5th ranked Akita NH (26-17) in Kanagawa 82-68 on Saturday. Kawasaki BT looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American-Georgian Matt Janning (195-1988, college: Northeastern) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Kawasaki BT players scored in double figures. American forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) came up with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Akita NH in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kawasaki BT maintains second place with 33-11 record having just two point less than leader Ryukyu GK. Loser Akita NH keeps the fifth position with 17 games lost. Kawasaki BT will again meet at home Akita NH (#5) in the next round. Akita NH will have a break next round.
