Regular Season Round 51: Kyoto H. - Ryukyu GK 69-87

B1 League top team - Ryukyu GK (40-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat ninth ranked Kyoto H. (13-34) 87-69. Ryukyu GK players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Keita Imamura (191-1996) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. Five Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center David Simon (208-1982, college: PFW) with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu GK have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 40-4 record. Kyoto H. at the other side keeps the ninth position with 34 games lost. Ryukyu GK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyoto H. will play again at home against the league's leader Ryukyu GK (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
