Regular Season Round 50: Sea Horses M. - Shimane SM 84-90

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kariya. Second ranked Shimane SM faced 4th ranked Sea Horses M.. Guests from Shimane (34-10) defeated host Sea Horses M. (23-18) 90-84. Shimane SM players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Shimane SM players scored in double figures. American guard Anthony Lawrence II (201-1996, college: Miami, FL, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and international center Avi Schafer (203-1998, college: Georgia Tech) added 19 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Sea Horses M.Shimane SM have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 34-10 record having just five point less than leader Ryukyu GK. Sea Horses M. at the other side keeps the fourth place with 18 games lost.
