Regular Season Round 50: Nagoya DD - Osaka E. 89-87

Seventh-ranked Osaka E. (20-24) made lots of trouble for third ranked Nagoya DD (26-12) on Wednesday. Nagoya DD managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Osaka E.. The best player for the winners was American power forward Scott Eatherton (206-1991, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-1995) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Nagoya DD's coach Shawn Dennis used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Makoto Kinoshita (185-1997) produced 21 points and the former international forward Ira Brown (193-1982, college: Gonzaga) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Nagoya DD and five Osaka E. players scored in double figures. Nagoya DD maintains third position with 26-12 record having nine points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Osaka E. at the other side keeps the seventh place with 24 games lost. Nagoya DD are looking forward to face Niigata A. (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osaka E. will play against Shiga L-Stars (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
