Regular Season Round 16: Lioneers - Fubon Braves 114-103

An interesting game for Lioneers (12-9) which played against their biggest opponent Fubon Braves (14-8). Third ranked Lioneers managed to get a 11-point victory 114-103. Lioneers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Fubon Braves' 36 and made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Fubon Braves 55-40 including 41 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American Nick Faust (198-1993, college: LBSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 17 rebounds and Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-1992, college: NM State) who added 20 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Perry Jones III (211-1991, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 27 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-1982) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Lioneers and five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lioneers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-9 record having just one point less than leader Kings. Fubon Braves at the other side keep the second place with eight games lost. Lioneers will again play against league's second-placed Fubon Braves in Taipei in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fubon Braves will have a break next round.
