Regular Season Round 48: Toyama G. - Yokohama BC 90-65

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Toyama G. (17-29) outplayed at home their close opponent Yokohama BC (16-28) 90-65. Toyama G. players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brice Johnson (206-1994, college: UNC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import center Joshua Smith (208-1992, college: Georgetown) who added 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Toyama G. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Leyton Hammonds (203-1994, college: OK State, agency: BeoBasket) with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Czech Patrik Auda (204-1989, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 19 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyama G. maintains eighth position with 17-29 record which they share with defeated Yokohama BC. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the eighth place with 28 games lost. Toyama G. will again play against Yokohama BC (#8) at home in the next round. Yokohama BC will have a break next round.
