Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Osaka E. (19-23) won against at home 11th ranked San-en NP (8-35) 98-80. They outrebounded San-en NP 44-29 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Osaka E. players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-1989, college: USAO, agency: BIG) who added 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was German center Elias Harris (203-1989, college: Gonzaga, agency: BeoBasket) with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Peter Okoye (208-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Osaka E. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 19-23 record. San-en NP lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 35 games lost. Osaka E. will again play against San-en NP (#11) in Hamamatsu in the next round. San-en NP will have a break next round.
