Very expected game when 14th ranked Shinagawa (6-38) was rolled over on the road by ninth ranked Tokyo HT (21-16) 93-74 on Saturday. Tokyo HT looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 22 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import forward Chris Washburn (203-1993, college: TCU) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American center CJ Gettys (213-1994, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Abu Philip (198-1997) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Tokyo HT. They maintain ninth place with 21-16 record. Newly promoted Shinagawa keeps the fourteenth position with 38 games lost. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Yokohama EX.
