Regular Season Round 18: Bumi Borneo - Tangerang 54-61

There was a surprise result when seventh ranked Tangerang (6-15) won against on the road higher ranked Bumi Borneo (9-12) 61-54 on Monday. They outrebounded Bumi Borneo 53-37 including a 42-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. American Richard Ross (198-1992, college: ODU) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Tevanti Crump chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ngurah Wisnu Budidharma (180) with 8 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Randy Bell (193-1998, college: Dalton St.) scored 10 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tangerang moved-up to sixth place. Loser Bumi Borneo keeps the third position with 12 games lost. They share it with Pacific Caesar. Tangerang will meet at home league's leader Satria Muda in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bumi Borneo will play against Satya Wacana and hope to secure a win.
