Regular Season Round 15: Pilots - Kings 104-111

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Pilots (6-12) were defeated by second ranked Kings (12-6) 111-104 on Sunday. Kings made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Kings outrebounded Pilots 51-36 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international guard Kai-Yen Lee (182-1993) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. American center Thomas Welsh (213-1996, college: UCLA) helped adding 14 points and 16 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Devin Robinson (203-1995, college: Florida) with 26 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Jordan Tolbert (200-1992, college: SMU) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Five Kings and four Pilots players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kings have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Kings maintains second place with 12-6 record behind leader Fubon Braves. Loser Pilots keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Kings will meet Dreamers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Pilots will play against Dreamers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
