Very significant was Suns' (#2) 19-point victory against their close opponent N.Taipei CTBC 116-97. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Suns made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Suns outrebounded N.Taipei CTBC 52-29 including a 43-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by N.Taipei CTBC's players. It was an exceptional evening for Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his seven free throws). American guard Anthony Tucker (193-1989, college: MSUM) accounted for 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. American Marlon Johnson (208-1994, college: NMHU) came up with 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) added 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for N.Taipei CTBC in the defeat. Five Suns and four N.Taipei CTBC players scored in double figures. Suns have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-8 record having four points less than leader Kaohsiung A. N.Taipei CTBC at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Suns will play against Leopards (#5) in Taoyuan in the next round. N.Taipei CTBC will play at home against Leopards and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
